Pink Sock Foundation in the State of Maine

The Eagles Pink Sock Foundation was founded in 2003. While sitting at a convention meeting, four men wearing white tuxedos thought as a joke how it would look if they were wearing pink socks with their white tux's. When they did, they told each other, we should do something with this. Hence the Eagles Pink Sock Foundation was born with a cause to aid breast cancer patients in Maine.

The Maine Breast Cancer Coalition receives donations each year from the Pink Sock Foundation. This money is raised by the Fraternal Order of Eagles clubs throughout Maine. This is the tenth consecutive year the Eagles have contributed to the Support Service fund of this statewide coalition. MBCC has been providing services to people in Maine since 1992, and the Support Service Fund, started in the year 2000, provides financial assistance to residents of the state with breast health and breast      cancer-related needs. Grants from the Fund total about $75,000 each year and provide needed help to approximately 150 Maine residents.
